Are You Still Throwing Away That Industrial Scrap Plastic

Are You Still Throwing Away That Industrial Scrap Plastic

As a company that specializes in post-industrial plastic recycling, we buy scrap plastic from customers in seven states. Our home base is Tennessee, but we also have operations in Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, and Ohio. If you produce industrial plastic scrap in any of these states, we have a question: are you still throwing it away?

If every scrap plastic producer in those seven states sold their plastic scrap to us, we would have to ramp up our operations considerably. We would be more than happy to do so, by the way. But truth be told, there is a lot of plastic waste out there that we aren’t getting the opportunity to recycle.

Turn It Into Cash

We realize that some of our customers need a financial incentive to recycle their industrial scrap plastic. We don’t have a problem with that. Businesses exist to make a profit. If a company cannot make money on its scrap, it needs to find the least expensive way to get rid of it.

What you might not know is that we may be able to buy that scrap plastic from you. Obviously, we would need to know what you have before we can make a decision. But if your plastic waste is something we can use, we will pay you for it.

For the record, we recycle things like:

  • buckets and totes
  • dunnage trays
  • purge and cutoffs
  • baled pet bottles
  • plastic pallets

This is just a sampling of the industrial plastic products we buy. If you have anything you think we might be interested in, do not hesitate to contact us. Let’s see what we can come up with.

Help Reduce Landfill Strain

Turning your industrial scrap plastic into cash is quite an incentive. But let’s go one step further. Selling your plastic to us helps reduce the strain on your local landfill. Remember that plastics can take decades to break down in landfills, if not longer. All that plastic waste going to landfills takes up valuable space that could be better utilized for other types of waste.

From our perspective, throwing industrial scrap plastic into landfill just compounds the waste problem. Your scrap plastic constitutes waste for your operations. But it is not a waste to us. We can use it. But if you turn around and send it to a landfill, then it’s wasted.

Help Control Plastic Pricing

There is yet another reason to sell us your plastic rather than throwing it away. Recycling helps control plastic pricing. How? By increasing the amount of recycled plastic available to manufacturers.

Historically, manufacturers have been reluctant to buy plastic regrind if it’s more expensive than virgin plastic. That is understandable. It goes back to businesses existing to make a profit. In order to get manufacturers to consider regrind, its price needs to be comparable.

Recycling your plastic waste helps in that endeavor by giving companies like ours the opportunity to put more recycled plastic into the market. Then the laws of supply and demand take over. As supply increases, prices stabilize or go down.

Plenty of Good Reasons

This post has given you three reasons to recycle your industrial plastic scrap rather than throwing it in the landfill. There are plenty of other good reasons as well. The point is this: you don’t have to throw that plastic away. We might be able to take it off your hands.

Plastic recycling is what we do. Thanks to an efficient and low-tech approach, we do it very well. If you are still throwing away your scrap plastic, let’s talk.
